Privacy policy
This explains what we collect about you, why, who else sees it and how long we keep it. It is written in plain language, because a policy nobody can read is worth very little.
Your information is collected and processed by [[legalEntityName]], at [[businessAddress]]. For anything about privacy, write to [[privacyEmail]].
What we collect
All of it comes from you. We have not bought or received information about you from anyone else.
- Account details: your name, email address, and a password stored only as an encrypted hash — we cannot read it.
- If you sign in with Google: the email address, name and profile picture Google gives us. We get no access to your inbox, calendar or files.
- Wedding details: both partners’ names, the date, an approximate guest count, budget, the region of the country you prefer and the priorities you chose.
- What you write in the app: tasks, quotes, vendor contacts, payments you record and concepts you save.
- Basic technical data needed to run the service, such as your sign-in cookie and language preference.
Why we need it
Each piece has one job:
- Account details — to recognise you and let you sign in.
- Wedding details — to build your checklist, budget and suggestions. This is the service itself.
- Your email address — for service messages such as password resets and reminders about your own tasks.
- Payments — to activate your upgrade and issue an invoice.
Who else sees it
We do not sell your information or pass it to advertisers. Some service providers process it on our behalf so the app can run:
- The hosting and database service the app runs on.
- Our email provider, for service messages only.
- Google, only if you chose to sign in with it.
- Our payment provider, if you paid. Card details go straight to them and are never stored by us at any point.
- [[analyticsDisclosure]]
How long we keep it
While your account is active. Ask us to delete your account and we remove your wedding details and the content you created.
Payment records are kept for the period accounting law requires, even after the account is deleted. [[retentionPeriod]]
Your rights
You are entitled to know what we hold about you, to get a copy, to correct it and to ask us to delete it. Some of that you can do yourself — your wedding details are editable in settings at any time.
For anything else, write to [[privacyEmail]]. We will respond within [[responseWindow]].
Security
Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes and cannot be recovered. Traffic to the site is encrypted. Access to the database is restricted.
No system is perfect. If we learn of a security incident affecting your information, we will tell you and notify the Privacy Protection Authority as the law requires.
WhatsApp reminders
If you choose WhatsApp reminders, we store your mobile number, the identifier WhatsApp reports for it, and when you consented along with the wording you saw.
Verification works by you sending us a message, not the other way round. That message is also your consent, which is why we never message a number that has not asked us to.
Messages are delivered by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, which operates WhatsApp. We send only reminders for tasks you scheduled and your weekly summary — never marketing.
- To stop at any time: reply STOP on WhatsApp, or change the preference in your settings. It takes effect immediately, and reminders continue by email.
- Your number is deleted with your account, like everything else.
Cookies
We use two cookies, both strictly necessary: one that keeps you signed in and one that remembers your language. There are no advertising or tracking cookies, which is why you are not asked to consent to any.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. For a significant change, we will tell you by email.
